Job Description
• Assist in the preparation and submission of Intellectual Property (IP) applications through the MyIPO (Malaysia Intellectual Property Organization) platform, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
• Conduct thorough legal research on Intellectual Property laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Draft and review legal documents related to IP applications, ensuring accuracy and alignment with MyIPO standards.
• Help prepare and draft the legal framework, focusing on the protection of proprietary knowledge, trade secrets, and business assets.
• Liaise with relevant governmental and regulatory bodies, including MyIPO, to facilitate smooth processing of IP-related matters.
• Assist in maintaining and organizing legal files, databases, and records for the company's legal framework.
• Other related ad-hoc tasks
We want you if you are/have:
• Currently pursuing or completed a degree in Law (LLB) or related legal studies.
• Knowledge or keen interest in Intellectual Property law, with a basic understanding of IP rights and the MyIPO application process.
• Strong research skills and ability to analyze complex legal information.
• Excellent drafting and written communication skills, especially in legal document preparation.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools.
• Ability to work both independently and with team members.
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external partners.
