Job Description
Assist in preparing ingredients (e.g., chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)
Measure and weigh ingredients accurately.
Help with basic cooking tasks as directed by senior chefs.
Kitchen Support:
Keep workstations and kitchen equipment clean and organized.
Ensure that kitchen hygiene standards are maintained, including proper storage of food items.
Assist in checking and receiving kitchen deliveries.
Assisting Senior Chefs:
Support Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in various sections of the kitchen.
Learn and perform specific tasks in sections such as hot kitchen, pastry, or cold kitchen.
Participate in food plating and garnishing under guidance.
Safety and Hygiene:
Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards in food handling and preparation.
Ensure compliance with food hygiene regulations.
Safely operate kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Teamwork:
Work as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to provide high-quality dishes.
