Job Description
The Native Japanese Team Lead – Content Moderation is responsible for leading a team of content moderators who ensure that online platforms, social media, and digital content comply with community guidelines and legal standards. The role involves overseeing daily content review operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of moderation processes, and managing team performance. A deep understanding of Japanese language, culture, and legal considerations is essential to the role, as well as experience in content moderation, team management, and client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of content moderators, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality moderation of content.
Oversee the review of user-generated content on platforms (e.g., social media, websites, forums) to ensure compliance with community guidelines, legal regulations, and platform policies.
Maintain a deep understanding of Japanese cultural and legal sensitivities, ensuring that content is appropriately moderated according to regional standards.
Train and onboard new team members on content moderation procedures, policies, and platform guidelines.
Monitor team performance, providing coaching and mentorship to improve productivity, accuracy, and overall team efficiency.
Handle escalated moderation cases, making decisions on sensitive content and resolving disputes as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, operations, and customer support, to ensure smooth content moderation processes and client satisfaction.
Develop and implement best practices for content moderation workflows, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and reduce errors.
Conduct regular audits and quality control checks to ensure that content moderation is consistent, accurate, and in line with company guidelines.
Generate and report key performance metrics, analyzing data to identify trends, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Stay updated on changes in Japanese laws, regulations, and industry trends related to digital content and online platforms.
