- Orlin Academy provides early intervention programmes for special education needs age two (2) to eighteen (18) years old. The intervention classes are conducted in a small group of five to six students per session. The goal of Orlin Academy is to establish environments that are safe, courteous, encouraging and challenging for every child. This is done through understanding the needs and characteristics of young children as well as the many interrelated factors that affect their growth and learning. The programmes offer experiences and opportunities to foster a child’s intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth. Our centre consists of students with various special needs such as Mild Intellectual Impairment, Mild Autism Spectrum Syndrome, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Learning Disability, Sensory Integration Disorder, Speech Impairment, GDD (Global Development Delay) and Impulsive Behaviour. We believe that by providing them with a quality education, training and early intervention programs, we are actually giving them the same opportunity in life through empowering them with education. Our Individual Educational Plan (IEP) is structured and suitable to be applied both in classroom and daily activities. Our program is to help the child to improve their eye contact, hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills and basic cognitive concept.

Job Description
-Assist the lead teacher in preparing and implementing lesson plans tailored to students’ needs.
-Support students during activities, ensuring engagement and participation.
-Reinforce skills taught by the lead teacher, such as communication, motor skills, and social interaction.
-Provide one-on-one or small-group support as needed.
2. Behavioral Management
-Help monitor and manage students’ behaviors using positive reinforcement strategies.
-Implement behavior intervention plans under the guidance of the lead teacher or therapist.
-Document and report behavioral observations and incidents.
3. Administrative Duties
-Maintain accurate records of students’ progress, attendance, and activities.
-Prepare classroom materials and set up learning spaces.
-Assist with daily routines, such as arrival, departure, and transitions between activities.
4. Personal Care Assistance
-Support students with daily living tasks, such as eating, toileting, and hygiene, as required.
-Ensure students’ physical safety during activities and transitions.
-Be attentive to students' individual sensory or medical needs.
5. Communication and Collaboration
-Communicate regularly with lead teachers, therapists, and parents regarding students’ progress.
-Participate in team meetings and contribute insights on student development.
-Build positive and trusting relationships with students and their families.
6. Professional Development
-Attend training sessions, workshops, or certifications related to special needs education.
-Stay updated on best practices in working with children with special needs.
