Electrician Chargeman

ELECTRICIAN CHARGEMAN

The Electrician /chargeman is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in buildings, factories, and other facilities. The role involves overseeing and ensuring the proper functioning of electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment and adhering to safety regulations and codes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install, maintain and repair electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and equipment, to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues, using testing devices and diagnostic techniques to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with local safety codes, regulations, and industry standards, including electrical safety procedures and protocols.
Supervise and lead a team of electricians and technicians, providing guidance and training as needed.
Coordinate and oversee electrical installation projects, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
Maintain accurate work records, including maintenance logs, repair reports , and inspection results.
Work with other tradespeople, engineers, and clients to plan and execute electrical installation projects, ensuring seamless integration with other systems.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT, COMPLETING AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING IN ELECTRICAL WORK
A0 CHARGEMAN CERTIFICATION OR A1 CHARGEMAN CERTIFICATION REGISTERED WITH SURUHANJAYA TENAGA OR EQUIVALENT
PROFICIENCY IN ELECTRICAL WIRING, CIRCUIT ANALYSIS, AND TROUBLESHOOTING; KNOWLEDGE OF ELECTRICAL CODES AND REGULATIONS; STRONG COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
ABILITY TO WORK AT HEIGHTS, CONFINED SPACES, AND IN CHALLENGING ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS; PHYSICAL STAMINA TO PERFORM MANUAL LABOR AND LIFT HEAVY EQUIPMENT.
