Job Description
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the retail or manufacturing industry
• Strong proficiency in financial accounting, including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as SQL
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Preparing and analysing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Reconciling bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
• Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and contributing to the development of accounting policies and procedures
