Job Description
To manage and oversee all transport operations and commercial, result oriented, and supporting the development of additional business opportunities
To manage the transportation portfolio and expand the business;
To manage transporters and have the skill set to crunch figures and have analytical skills.
To plan and strategise the Transport Department and expand the growth in this division.
To be able to perform costing and attend to any inquiries related to Transport
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Vendor Management
To oversee transporters and manage their KPI to meet customers’ requirements.
To source new vendors and improve the pool of vendors for selection and change management.
To train and ensure SOPs are met and comply with customers’ requirements
To formulate a new training program for drivers and have continuous improvement plans.
Contract Management
To manage and expand the contractors' pools and secure competitive rates from vendors.
To ensure contractors maintain and improve its KPI.
TMS
To lead TMS projects;
To roll out new TMS and implement it for the existing customers;
To ensure track and trace, POD management and Billing Module for future billing.
Project Management
To prepare the project and project lead time/timeline for any new implementation projects;
To manage sub-contractor performance and KPI related to the services rendered;
To liaise with HR for new recruitment for future recruitments and must attain approval from top management.
Other related to Project Management
To lead new projects won by the BD team and implement and execute the project and source for transporters, process, SOP and KPI related requirements.
