Job Description
A Warehouse Executive oversees the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in a warehouse. They ensure smooth operations, inventory accuracy, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts.
Prevent stock discrepancies, pilferage, and obsolescence.
Warehouse Operations
Supervise receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Optimize warehouse layout for efficient space utilization.
Team Management
Lead and train warehouse staff (forklift operators, pickers, packers, etc.).
Assign tasks and monitor performance.
Ensure adherence to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
Safety & Compliance
Enforce workplace safety regulations (OSHA, ISO, etc.).
Maintain cleanliness and organization (5S methodology).
Ensure proper handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).
Process Improvement
Implement best practices for warehouse efficiency.
Use WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) for tracking.
Reduce operational costs and minimize wastage.
Vendor & Logistics Coordination
Liaise with suppliers, transporters, and 3PL providers.
Track inbound and outbound shipments.
Resolve delivery discrepancies and delays.
Reporting & Documentation
Generate reports on inventory, shipments, and KPIs.
Maintain records for audits and compliance.
Analyze data to improve performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
Experience in warehouse operations & inventory management.
Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety standards and lean warehousing.
This role is crucial for maintaining supply chain efficiency and ensuring customer satisfaction through timely and accurate order processing.
