Graphic Designer cum DTP Artist

We are a Malaysia-based publishing company specializing in producing school textbooks across various subjects. We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Graphic Design cum DTP Artist to join our creative and production team.

Job Scope:
• Design book covers that are visually appealing and aligned with subject themes
• Create inner page designs and layouts for primary and secondary school textbooks
• Handle typesetting and page formatting using existing templates or create new styles when required
• Develop supporting materials such as icons, flyers, brochures, and other promotional items
• Ensure all files are correctly prepared for printing.
• Work closely with editors and the production team to meet publishing deadlines
• Layout work involves arranging text, images, and elements in a clear, organized, and readable format across pages. If you’re not familiar with layout work, don’t worry – we’ll provide proper guidance and training.

Requirements:
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In-design
• Strong sense of design, composition, and visual hierarchy
• Ability to follow templates, apply consistent styles, and handle large numbers of pages
• Good time management and able to meet deadlines
• Team player with good communication skills
• Able to follow instructions accurately, pay attention to detail, and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Detail-oriented, especially when handling text-heavy content
• Publishing experience is an added advantage
• Willing to learn and handle various design-related tasks

Job Details:
• Location: Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia
• Work Type: In person (office-based)
• Working Days: Monday to Friday (5 days/week)
• Salary: RM2200 – RM3000 (depending on experience and skill set)
