Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage the full set of accounts for two business entities, assist in budget planning, provide loss stop warnings, and support basic HR functions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident in both financial reporting and operational foresight.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Finance
Handle full set of accounts for two companies, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Monitor cash flow, track expenditures, and flag financial discrepancies. Develop and maintain budget forecasts; track against actuals to highlight deviations. Generate loss stop alerts and provide financial insights to guide operational decision-making. Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies for compliance and statutory filings.
Budget & Planning
Collaborate with management to create and update annual budgets. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize expense allocations. Prepare financial dashboards and reports to support strategic planning.
HR Support (Basic)
Assist with monthly payroll and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, etc.). Maintain employee records and track leave, attendance, and claims. Support HR processes such as onboarding, document filing, and claim reimbursements.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in full set accounting.
Familiar with accounting software (e.g., SQL, Xero, or QuickBooks).
Strong knowledge of budgeting, cash flow management, and cost controls.
Basic knowledge of Malaysian HR regulations and payroll processes.
High attention to detail, organized, and able to work independently.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Nice to Have:
Experience in F&B or service-based industries.
Familiarity with inventory tracking and POS system reports.
