Job Description
1. To source and propose suitable new suppliers, alternative material/product and negotiate for best value while complying with the required standard and specification in accordance with the Company's criteria for acceptable quality, competitive cost and prompt delivery considerations.
2. To study the feasibility of alternative source for those existing items and ensure the most competitive price is achieved.
3. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all purchasing related matters.
4. To fulfill the purchasing objective with the delivery lead time and saving target.
5. To search for the identify qualified supplier who able to supply products such as raw materials, machinery, tool, production equipment, stock items, machinery parts/items, etc. to fulfill functional specifications in a timely and most cost-effective way.
6. To negotiate prices and ensure that the Company's best interests are observed.
7. To prepare and maintain price comparisons from suppliers according to the company policies and procedures.
8. To issue Purchase Order to Supplier & monitor the delivery lead time.
9. To ensure all procurement activities are carried out according to the Company policies and procedures.
10. To work closely with the Project team for procurement of services and materials to meet project delivery schedule and requirement.
11. To ensure the Suppliers understand our drawings and specifications before award the order.
12. To monitor and assess Supplier's delivery and quality performance according to ISO Purchasing Quality Procedures. To ensure complaints on vendor's performance are rectified and solved on timely basis.
13. To continue to explore new source of supply in the market and add to the Supplier base.
14. To continuously seek improvement in the assigned job scope and strengthen the purchasing skill and knowledge.
15. To undertake special assignment, ad-hoc functions and related duties as and necessary or other tasks as assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Management from time-to-time.
16. Able to liaise with overseas Supplier(s), i.e. China to explore new source of supply and more competitive pricing in the market.
Job Requirement:
1. Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advance/ Higher/ Diploma in Purchasing/ Inventory/ Material A Warehouse Management from time -to-time.
2. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
3. Possess higher level of negotiation, problem solving, analytical and strategic planning skills.
4. Knowledgeable in related ISO, technical drawing and related machinery.
5. Good command of both written and spoken in English and Bahasa Malaysia, Proficient in both spoken and written in Mandarin, Must have relevant experience and able in dealing with overseas (China) supplier(s).
