Restaurant Cafe Waiter

Job Summary:

The waiter/waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for guests. They must be knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to customer needs, and efficient in their work.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
Anticipate and respond to guest needs, such as refilling drinks, providing condiments, and addressing concerns.
Handle customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
Order and Service:
Enter orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
Serve food and beverages in a timely and organized manner.
Ensure proper presentation of dishes and drinks.
Clear and clean tables efficiently.
Process payments and provide accurate change.
Teamwork and Communication:
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
Assist with setting up and closing down the dining area.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Basic math skills for handling payments.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
