Job Description
Job Scope:
• Responsible for preparing and cooking food according to event menus and kitchen standards.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company expectations.
• Assist in food prep, plating, and packing for catering events.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety of the kitchen and workstations.
• Monitor inventory and assist in stock replenishment when necessary.
• Work closely with kitchen team and event staff for smooth operations.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a cook or in a similar culinary role.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
• Physically fit, with ability to stand for long hours and handle kitchen equipment.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Certification in Food Handling (a plus but not mandatory).
Salary Range (Market Rate - Johor Bahru):
RM2800 - RM3000 / Montly
• Incentives: Performance-based bonuses during peak periods or successful events
• Overtime Pay: Based on event schedules and additional workload
• Other Benefits: EPF, SOCSO, possible meal allowance, staff meals during shifts
